Black Cumin Seeds or Shahi Jeera in Hindi is also called Caraway seeds in English. Its slightly darker than the regular Jeera, and hence often called Black Cumin, but it’s different from Kali Jeera!Shahi Jeera is used extensively in medicines and in cooking especially nonvegetarian dishes like chicken, meat or mutton making, tandoori dishes, etc. It looks slightly darker than the regular Jeera or Cumin Seeds. It’s also much sweeter than the Jeera.
Shahi Jeera or Caraway seeds are also used in masala tea making due to its sweet flavour.
